Statement of Purpose
Orchard Park Presbyterian Church is a fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ who seek to increase love of God and neighbor by introducing Jesus Christ to those who do not know and love Him, deepening the faith of those who already know Him, and demonstrating Christ's way of life and service to the world. Therefore, we commit ourselves to:
- Worship God to affirm our faith and grow in faith, continually searching for God's will.
- Conduct educational programs, helping persons of all ages increase in knowledge and understanding of Jesus Christ.
- Provide opportunities for each person to be known and cared for and to know and care for others.
- Relate to our community and the world in such a way as to demonstrate Christ's way of life and service.
- Proclaim the Good news of Jesus Christ as found in Scripture and invite all to accept Him as Lord and Savior.
- Help families uphold and build on strength of the Christian faith.
- Maintain and use church facilities in a manner which shows our love for Jesus Christ.
- Develop human and financial resources to carry on Christ's mission.
The Great Commission
Have you experienced the love of Jesus? Matthew 28:19 states it clearly: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Orchard Park Church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ seeking to bring the message of His love and deliverance to the Indianapolis community and the world. We have programs available for people of all ages and walks of life who are looking to grow spiritually, experience the unfailing, never-ending love of Jesus and connect with friends who are “doing life together” – seeking God for answers to life’s tough questions.
Our members are also committed to sharing God’s love with their neighbors, friends and co-workers as the Great Commission requires of all believers. Simply put, we love to help others find the peace and joy in life that we have found in Jesus Christ! Join us this Sunday to see what we are all about.
