Music Ministries
Make a Joyful Noise at OPPC!
The Music Ministry at OPPC offers several opportunities for musicians to share their talents within worship. Below is a list of ensembles that are open to all who wish to participate; click on the link to find out more. Vocal Choirs
Sanctuary Choir
Sanctuary Choir leads the congregation in worship on Sundays at the 9:00am and 11:05am* services September through June. Membership is open to all teens and adults who wish to sing. No audition is necessary. Rehearsals are every Tuesday from 7:30pm to 9:00pm in the Choir Room. Child care is available upon request.
*This choir presents music at the 11:05am service on the last Sunday of the month.
ReGeneration Praise Band
The ReGeneration Praise Band leads music and worship during the ReGeneration worship service at 11:15am on Sunday mornings. This service features contemporary praise and worship music and a more relaxed worship atmosphere. Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 7:30pm. Choristers
The Choristers are divided into two segments - Treble Choir and Kinderchoir. Both rehearse together on Wednesdays from 5:30pm - 6:30pm in the Choir Room. The Treble Choir is designated for choristers who are enrolled in 3rd grade or higher. Kinderchoir is open to all children enrolled in Kindergarten through 2nd grade. All Choristers are taught basic music skills through learning songs for worship and present music to the congregation in worship at least one Sunday each month.
Handbell Choirs
Choral Bells
Choral Bells is a handbell ensemble open to intermediate / advanced bell ringers. This ensemble typically rings handbell music rated AGEHR Level 3 or higher. Choral Bells rings in worship usually the last Sunday of every month. Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 6:30pm to 7:25pm in the Sanctuary and/or Choir Room.
Bells of Praise
Bells of Praise is another handbell ministry that is open to beginning bell ringers possessing at least a novice level reading ability. This group rings AGEHR level 2-3 music and usually rings in worship on the second Sunday of each month. Rehearsal is on Tuesdays from 5:30pm to 6:25pm.
