Lay Leadership

A leader must first be a disciple, one who follows Christ by accepting Him as their personal Lord and Savior. Following Christ includes whole-heartedly worshipping Him, connecting with Him through prayer, learning about Him, and ministering to others.

A lay leader is a volunteer who has the responsibility of developing and accomplishing goals for Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. The good news is that Christ is active in helping us develop and accomplish these goals! Leadership positions are available in many areas at OPPC – as a church officer (Elders, Deacons, or Trustees), as a member of one of the many committees at the church, or as a “doer of the word” by serving.

Spend time traveling through our website to learn how you can enrich your walk with Jesus and participate in guiding OPPC in meeting the call of the Great Commission.

Some places to start are:

Ministering to others, see Caring Ministries, Deacons, Fellowship Opportunities, Music Ministries.
