Where are our young people headed? What are they thinking about? Who is guiding them?

Young people face many pressures today, just as their parents and grandparents did before them. Today - just as in the past - our church family is called to help young people grow into a faithful and productive adulthood. Orchard Park recently received a generous gift to augment our efforts to carry out this baptismal commitment.

An endowment has been created to fund Crossways – a ministry geared to providing special events to help youth develop positive values through their faith. Crossways programs target youth in grades 6 through 12, both within our congregation and the community at large. The goal is to make Christ the foundation of young people's decision making, as well as the center of adults' relationships with them. Crossways offers a variety of periodic programs such as hosting nationally-known speakers or seminars on positive growth and relationship building.

Crossways events are coordinated with OPPC’s ongoing youth ministry activities, but participation is not limited to youth currently active at OPPC. OPPC adults – parents as well as those with a heart and call to work with and help youth – are also invited and encouraged to attend as are all youth and adults in our community.

With God, we know that all things are possible. Youth at the “crossroads” can make the right the decisions when they follow the “Crossways” that Christ has lived for, and shared with, us all.

Watch for future Crossways events. Come, join the journey!
