There is so much to say about 2016. This annual report is full of testimony of the working of the Holy Spirit at Orchard Presbyterian Church. Throughout these pages you will find that the Holy Spirit has been at work in mission, worship, teaching, caring, building, youth, children, finances and strategic planning.
I encourage you to read these pages and see places where the Holy Spirit has been alive at Orchard Park. Notice not only everything that we have done, from the Day of Caring, to identifying our spiritual gifts, to our lively youth program. Notice also, the people who have been part of these ministries. Take a moment to say a prayer of thanks for all of the people who have served our congregation, attended meetings, worked on the budget, the building and children.
Look for places of the Holy Spirit is at work at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. Look for the places where the Bible was studied, where prayer took place, and the least of these served. Look for places where we fed the hungry, clothed the naked, visited the imprisoned, welcomed the stranger, and gave drink to the thirsty. Look for places where we were faithful stewards of the earth, of our building and our financial resources. Look for places where we loved God with all of our heart, soul and mind.
As we look to 2017, we will continue to look for the Holy Spirit at work at Orchard Park Presbyterian Church. We will continue to discern the will of the Holy Spirit and follow its calling. I remain grateful every day for the privilege and honor of serving God here at Orchard Park Presbyterian
Church. I am grateful for our outstanding staff, our committed elders, and our faithful deacons. I am grateful for the many volunteers who work behind the scenes every day and make Orchard Park the living, faithful, welcoming, caring, place it is.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit
you may abound in hope.” (Romans 15:3).
May the Peace of Christ Be with you,
